About this product
Product Information
With Williams Arcade's Greatest Hits, the popular game manufacturer opens its library of classic Arcade hits from the early 1980s to bring home straightforward ports of Defender, Defender II, Joust, Robotron: 2084 and Sinistar.

In Defender, the first-ever side-scrolling shooter, your blaster ship is the only hope the human race has of not being snatched away by aliens. You'll fly around a planet while saving humanoids and blasting Mutants, Landers, Baiters and other space scum out of the sky. Defender II, which is also known as Stargate, is very similar to Defender, but with warp capabilities, new enemies and an Inviso button that renders the ship temporarily invulnerable. Both games have hyperspace and smart bombs.

Joust is the classic game of kill or be killed as you fly an ostrich in a futuristic jousting competition. To win a joust against one of the swarming, egg-laying Buzzard Riders, you must have your mount higher than your opponent's mount at the time of contact. Beneath the lowest platform on the screen lies a fiery pit. Beware the Troll of the Lava Pits! Joust is the only game in the collection in which a two-player simultaneous mode is available.

Robotron: 2084 has you running from and shooting wave after wave of deadly robots who are intent on killing every last human family on Earth. You can run and shoot in all directions within each rectangular room and rescue innocents for extra points. Sinistar is an Asteroids-like game in which you fly around in your space cruiser, shooting alien ships and trying to collect enough minerals for a bomb to destroy Sinistar, a giant, trash-talking ship that is intent on eating everything, including you.
