Stiff material, making inserting the fan tricky but is, IMHO, necessary to make sure there is no leakage around the fan perimeter. As seller auction description says, I can confirm that fan selection is VERY important -- a low-end 2K rpm 20-22 CFM fan isn't quite enough to cool the fourth (far end) chip, have to power limit M10 to prevent thermal shutdown.
