As an upgrade from the SZ-15, the Olympus Stylus SZ-16 iHS is a 16-megapixel camera with a zoom lens. It features a 24x wide compact superzoom design with a 25-600mm equivalent zoom range as well as a 24x long zoom. The 16MP CMOS sensor allows the camera to offer 1080p video capabilities as well as other high-speed CMOS-sensor features for capturing quality photos. The maximum shutter speed is 1/2000 of a second, allowing photographers to achieve clear images even when the subject is in motion. Aperture settings range from F3 to F6.9, allowing the camera operator to zoom in on a larger landscape for overall clarity or closer subjects with background blur. ISO controls, ranging from 100 to 6400, provide additional precision when shooting in low light to full sun conditions. The LCD screen integrated into the camera is 3 inches and fitted with anti-glare technology, providing an opportunity to review pictures or video without having to connect to another device. The full HD-video recorder with TruePic image processor will ensure every moment is digitally captured. The Olympus Stylus SZ-16 iHS Digital Camera features 43 MB of internal storage, with the ability to expand its storage capabilities with a compatible SD, SDHC, or SDXC memory card (not included). Built-in Dual Image Stabilization helps keep photos crisp by limiting excess noise for greater image quality and detail. This brings DSLR-quality image capacity to more compact design. The handheld Starlight feature on the Olympus Stylus SZ-16 iHS Digital Camera allows you to capture night skies or other night scenes without requiring a tripod. The Olympus SZ-16 weighs approximately a 1/2 pound, making it highly portable for photography on the go. The Macro settings help photographers take high-quality close-up shots without the need for additional equipment or lenses. Other scene modes on Olympus Stylus SZ-16 iHS the let you transition from night scenes, beach settings, sport, and landscape with a single adjustment. Auto modes on the cameras adjust the focus and settings based on perceived conditions while Face Detection software helps photographers capture quality portraits and group shots. You can capture panoramic views with the single touch of a button. The Olympus Stylus SZ-16 iHS digital cameras have automatic lighting adjustments to help balance highlights and lowlights for effective shadow management, and the cameras Beauty Makeup setting softens shadows while smoothing blemishes. The included flash can be operated automatically depending on the current lighting conditions or can be activated manually to help brighten a scene. Multi-Motion Movie settings help capture video even when the subject and photographer are in motion through advanced image stabilization capabilities. This contributes to reducing blur while supporting simple operation on the part of the user. The Olympus Stylus SZ-16 digital cameras can also be operated in manual mode, giving the photographer the ability to adjust settings to capture their ideal image. Average battery life supports capturing approximately 220 images before the included lithium-ion battery must be charged, and the high-speed sequential shooting option can capture up to 30 frames per second. The included connections allow the camera to be connected via USB 2.0 or HDMI. This gives photographers the ability to transfer photos and videos quickly to desktop computers, laptops, or tablets, or view the images on a compatible television. This type of camera also comes with a safety cord, designed to be worn around the wrist, to help prevent the camera from falling to the ground should it slip out of the photographer’s hand. Quick start instructions and additional software are also included with the cameras.
