    In this day of people wanting Instant everything, Fast chargers for lithium ion batteries are all the rage. Faster the better. But these batteries don't like such fast charging, any more than they like fast discharge and they get hot. I have discovered anything faster than 1mA output makes my batteries hotter than I like. and shortens their life. 800mA is the Goldilocks zone, devices don't gripe they're not getting charged fast enough and they don't get hot. Charging just takes a little longer.
