- Xx + folding map + 256 pp AND viii + 276 pp. Both books have, index. Ilustrated with photo plates, frontis plates of Denby, and of Emperor Kwang-Su. Denby was U. S. Minister to China for, 13 years, this is a reprint of the 1906 original. Dark red, cloth with gilt to spine, boards are clean, spines have library, label at bottom, interiors have normal library marks, publisher, spot in both books is covered with Paragon Book distributor, label, otherwise clean and crisp. Folding map is clean and, intact. Ads for the publisher have been neatly excised at the, back of each volume. Nice set -- hard to find both volumes.
