I did not purchase this item to use in a Sherline product, but as a set screw for the whammy bar on a mustang-style bridge on my Vantage Avenger guitar. It works fantastic in the tremolo because, unlike a standard set screw, the nylon tip will not scratch up the threadless whammy bar. FYI, the description does not mention it, but this set screw tightens with a standard 3/32-inch allen wrench.
