The clock is quite attractive but there are two problems: 1.) The chrome perimeter case is plastic, not metal, which is a fairly minor issue. 2.) The small, chromed metal hands are virtually impossible to read when the "neon" ring is illuminated. Look at the photo in the ad and you will see this. My only hope is that I can disassemble the clock and replace the hands with larger, white-painted hands.....otherwise, the clock is simply a night light, not a "clock".
