I have the XL50 11’ 6wt, 3wt and two 2wt set up for Bass fishing with fixed spool reels. They are a lovely, light, delicate and fully through action rod. Great to fish with all day long. Superb for bullying big fish. I am about to make one up as a fly rod for boat fishing, Loch style.

This blank has a lovely action ideal for Euro Nymph fishing, nice and light but due to its length needs balancing either by adding weight into the but or by using a reel heavy enough to balance it. My finished rod is 109grams, I used the carbon grip. excellent service and advice from Mick as always �� Would be nice if the postage was combined on products bought together though.
