Unit is small but with my camera (very tiny mirrorless), the body is around a 1/3 too long, when velcroed to the front of the camera grip it protrudes significantly below the camera (there's no other way to orient it in order for the IR receiver to receive the IR signal from the unit) and could potentially interfere with any mounting hardware. But it works, that's the important thing.
