It is well made and appears to be of a strong, robust heavy compound plastic and the pins are machined and polished. All in all, a quality little unit that does the job for shaping steel wire, alloy and brass wire. Although it didn't come with written instructions for its use, I assumed it would handle 2mm diameter round hobby brass rod and it easily did so. Great tool.
