The book is a staple for an introductory course on leadership. The author introduces theory in manageable chunks and provides valuable support with questionnaires, snap shots and case studies, making the work come alive for students., The book provides an accessible overview of the various components of leadership. The chapters are easy to understand, very practical, and arent bogged down with nuanced details. It gives the big picture information about what it means to be a good leader and how to develop those skills., It is an excellent text and includes an excellent learning platform (SAGE Vantage) that integrates easily with any Learning Management System. Theoretical research is covered, but students also have the opportunity to complete self-assessments and are given feedback for practical application on those assessments. The instructional resources are fantastic - PowerPoint slides, lecture notes, case studies, class activities, web exercises, and a test bank. In addition, students love SAGE Vantage. Each section of a chapter is broken up into manageable reading with Knowledge Checks and Video Activities to immediately assess learning., This book is straightforward, simple, and accessible. It is easy to read, meaning that for undergrad classes, its a great text for the class. For graduate classes, it allows entre to the topic of leadership and since it is easy to read, its no problem to also assign additional reading that delves into the specific topic of the course., This text provides a great start in introducing students to leadership theory with some hands on activities for reflection and connection to their own practical experiences. It provides examples of leaders, case studies and suggested steps for solving leadership challenges in and out of the classroom., If you want to use a textbook that presents leadership concepts that are challenging and make your students stop and think then this is the textbook you need for your course. The textbook also highlights real-world examples so students can apply to their current lives, families, communities, career and future careers. In addition the writings are clearly articulated and easy to read. We need to give our students the tools they need to be successful and impactful leaders in the real-world and this textbook is their 'toolbox' in helping them strive and thrive as leaders., Northouses Introduction to Leadership: Concepts and Practiceis among the best primers available on the subject. Well-grounded in up-to-date leadership theory based on the latest research, it is at the same time elegantly practical. This book is aimed at leadership practitioners seeking an accessible text thats more substantive and comprehensive than a mass media leadership self-help guide., It provides a basic but solid overview of the discipline of Organizational Leadership. It is easy to read and understand. Students like the text and feel that they are immediately able to apply what they have learned., A great introduction textbook to demystify the concepts of leadership and who can/should be leaders. The short inventory in each chapter to help students assess their own strengths and areas of development.

The item arrived quickly, well-packaged, & as advertised; who could possibly ask for more than that?! Did I say it was well-packaged? Because that's the understatement of the decade. This seller packed this awesome Chap Mei walking mech with extreme care so that not even the USPS could destroy it. I got two similar items from another seller who tossed them in a box together with no protection at all & they arrived in pieces. This seller is awesome though & is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

cooperative, true to word. the lusters were well packed, multiple layers for extra safety. unfortunately when I unpacked one of them the beautiful top was shattered. the box was well marked FRAGILE. in my opinion the box was mishandled in shipping. box obviously tossed about too hard and carelessly. i reported this to seller the same day with pictures and told her I would like to keep the one that hadn’t gotten damaged. she immediately credited the cost of the second one back to my credit card ❤

I highly recommend this seller. I would have been no less satisfied if the books had been described as like new. Given their weight, the shipping charge was most reasonable. They were well packaged for safe arrival, too, and shipped without delay. The seller communicated most cordially, too. I couldn't have asked for more! Thanks again!
