I unscrewed it and opened it up just to find the vibration motor was completely removed. I looked on the description and the seller didn't mention anything about this.

The only junk park was the deteriorated old belt (which is to be expected for a 25-year old cassette player). After cleaning everything up and putting a new belt this Walkman works like new! Saved about $150 to $200 by buying this awesome "junk" and doing some quick maintenance, compared to the listings for the same model with a replaced belt. Great seller, and quick shipping from Japan! AAA+++
