I was looking for a blu-ray edition of this opera to complement the DVD I have of the Met Opera’s marvelous recording. This Salzburg production had the unexpected twist of replacing the”Prologue” of Ariadne with Strauss’ one-act “Le Bourbois Gentilhomme.” It worked, but the final scene with Kaufman and Magee was sublime I highly recommend.
