We needed the monitor for immediate use, however upon taking the first reading we were shocked to see a reading of over 30. My grandsons highest readings have been around 16 and that is when he has been poorly. Thankfully no insulin was given immediately to counteract the 30+ reading. We borrowed a friends monitor and it produced a reading of 13. Tried again and showed 30+ again. Faulty item.
