This design is made specifically for piercing to the maximum. They have beefed up the point of this long Seax so that the point is well made. Super Steel has done a great job insuring the ancient design flaw of a brittle point. Many Seax owners have been known to purposely break off the points of their swords to re-fasion them to be less brittle. This is not the case with Super Steel. Awesome

But would still be light enough for a backpack 🎒. It also has the feature of a survival purposed saw on the blades spine. This is surprising well made and works effectively. The forward part of the hand guard has a place for your index finger. Giving it a skinning hold if necessary. The grip more well suited for a medium sized hand. It could be lashed to a pole as a spear. 😁

This sword has the features of the long blood groove, so called by many. The point is well made for piercing. It would be great for European boar hunting. It is about five inches shorter than a classic long sword. No rose pattern for me, I didn't want that feature. It is well maneuverable in close quarters. I would rather have this design of sword for personal carry instead.
