The mechanics are sufficient, but a little telling with small wingnuts. Overall, for the price: you should not be knocking the stand over, it will hold your cymbals in multiple angles and heights, and you'll have a few bucks left over for something else. PS: interesting how it is configured to either be a straight or boom stand.
