It's as sharp as anything I have seen, including my own chisels. I am very impressed by the quality. The only aspect needing improvement is the rounding off of some sharp surfaces. These happen when the body of the knife starts out as a flat piece of steel and the body shape is stamped out of a larger sheet. This produces very sharp edges. There is no real danger of cutting yourself, however it feels sharp in your hand.
