However, it turns out that the keyboard wasn't the issue, as even the replacement keyboard didn't work. Seems to be a corrupted BIOS, and even pulling the CMOS battery and letting the configs fade did nothing to resolve the issue. I have a "spare" keyboard now. I will replace the laptop with an exact model, so it may one day come in handy!
