    I'm a beginner, so I can't judge quality, but the viola seems fine for what I'm using it for, which is to encourage my 10 year old son by learning alongside him. I tuned it up, and it seems to hold the tuning. Sounds like a viola. Strings can sound dull when fretting, but I'm sure swapping them for better ones would help.
