A bizarre iron coffin has been discovered in the ocean, and an evil power is about to be unleashed. Jotaru Kujo discovers that his mother's sickness is related to something known as a Stand, and he could be affected by it as well. All this is caused by the evil released from the iron coffin, a man named Dio. In order to defeat Dio, Jotaru and his friends travel to Egypt. But along the way they must fend off Dio's minions.<br><br>JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is a 2D Capcom fighting game based on the manga comic books of the same name. The GD-ROM actually contains two games: the original JoJo's Venture and an updated version with more characters by the name of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure.<br><br>Depending on the game mode, players can choose from up to 16 oddball characters. Each character has a Stand, a unique guardian spirit of sorts. Characters can activate or deactivate their Stands at will. The Stands have their own health bar and take damage like a regular character, and when their health bar is depleted they disappear. Stands recharge their health very quickly though, so players can call on their depleted Stands again a few seconds after they disappear.<br><br>Both characters and Stands can perform attacks. Additionally, Stands can be programmed to attack, leaving the character in relative safety far away from the action. Players can also use that programmed attack time to conduct their own attacks with the character. Characters also have a power meter that can be charged up through attacks. The meter can store a number of stocks, and the stocks can be used to perform super techniques.
