The portable Zoom H4n Digital Recorder offers professional performance in a compact size at an affordable price. Its two onboard external microphones are uniquely configured for coincident recording. With two additional jacks, you can simultaneously record four different tracks. Professional features, including time-stamping, mid-side (MS) decoding, and a library of multi-effects, make creating quality audio infinitely easier. The tough, rubberized shell both protects this sturdy recorder and virtually eliminates handling noise. A clear, readable, 1.9-inch backlit LCD display screen interface and intuitive controls simplify device operation. It delivers six hours of continuous recording time in stereo/4 channel/MTR mode and an amazing 11 hours in stamina mode.Capable of making recordings in WAV or MP3 formats, the Zoom H4n captures excellent sound quality, up to 24-bit/96kHz. Once recorded, a host of internal effects, including compression, reverb, and overdubbing, allow professional mixing and production. The two built-in mics can be positioned at a 90-degree angle for a more focused capture. You can also position them to a 120-degree angle for wider, more inclusive recordings. The dual inputs on the bottom of the device can accept either XLR or 1/4 inch balanced or unbalanced microphone cables. Each track's level and panning can be independently controlled and mixed down to stereo or mono.The H4n’s size and complexity make it the perfect companion for all manner of video and camera equipment. Many DSLRs offer excellent visual quality but fall short regarding audio quality and capacity. This recorder can be attached to any standard tripod or to a camera directly with the optional Hot Shoe adapter. The X/Y microphone and capacity for post-production audio editing bring professional level sound to any video. The time signature function and the ability to record in broadcast WAVs with coded markers simplifies post-production syncing and editing. It’s very portable and easy to take outdoors or remotely because it ways less than one pound. Recording live music is a snap with the H4n. The onboard microphones can be complimented with a floor mic. You can also plug your bass or guitar directly into the inputs. This model even includes both internal guitar and bass amp models. The input sockets provide either 24V or 48V of phantom power. The rear speaker allows for easy monitoring and lets you know right away that the system is operating as it should. You can plug into the headphone jack, which has a dedicated volume control if you want to monitor input more precisely. You can also easily convert your final mix into an MP3 for easy uploading and file sharing.The Zoom H4n Handy Recorder integrates seamlessly with any number of recording systems for professional results. It comes with Cubase LE software for Mac or PC. It records directly onto either an SDHC or SD card up to 32GB. It has a USB port for convenient connection and data exchange to your computer.
