The printed instructions inside had hand writing on them, the protective cover usually found on the front face had been removed, and the plastic packaging was wrinkled, indicating it had been repackaged. When first plugged in, the unit had someone else's wifi network and I needed to press the reset button to get it to original factory condition. Other than not being "new" it works fine.
