Will be mainly using it to back up my photos and then switching it off. Hope it stays functional for at least couple of years

It was shipped in a plastic bag, no bubble wrap or cushioning, in a plain white box without even being secured or taped down. Pics to show you what I mean are included in this post. I'm sure it got rattled around quite a lot, we'll see if it effected the device as I use it over the next few weeks.
