In fact, the machine did have Ubuntu Linux pre-installed, though I will be using a more recent Ubuntu version. The configuration sold is rather minimal for a workstation, but Dell parts are easy to find on Ebay and I've upgraded it to a Xeon W-1270P, 32GB ECC RAM, and the proper Dell cooling solution for this configuration.

They pass the requirements for Windows 11, and while they are on the low end of the processing power spectrum, they are not obsolete. They also use very little power. If you need a computer to use for a control device or basic daily duty these should get the job done and not set you back much. I'd plan to add some storage as the hardwired default 64GB is cutting it kind of close. Great seller. Thanks
