I bought this to convert an ipad charger plug to accept the type C cable provided with my new ipad. I had previously bought a 2 metre type C to type C cable (for reading in bed) to fit the new type C charger supplied with the new ipad so I needed a means of using the 1 metre cable to use downstairs. This required a converter at the ipad end - this worked well for a few weeks until the ipad decided not to chage whist using it. This new converter works better.
