This book was delivered promptly in a sturdy box and was further protected by wrapping. I was so grateful to find it in time for a special occasion because it was out of stock everywhere until later in April. The recipient was delighted though it was tempting to keep it for myself. It is a wonderful picture book, and it is obvious why it won the Caldecott Medal.
