On plus side seller refunded me the purchase price.
On the negative the item was one week late in being delivered and did not match the picture of the item for sale on ebay. It was an alterate shower fixing plate which I had decided I originally not to purchase. The one I chose had different plumbing connections form the one delivered.
Sorry to be so negative but it forced me to find an alternate solution.
