These tall beakers are resistant to strong acids, and the glass can withstand very high temperatures 450°F or 232°C. I received 6 beakers and two out of six were defective. There was some kind of dirt or sand inside the glass at the bottom of the beaker. It looks like no one monitors quality during production or I was just unlucky. The package was double boxed, and although the outer box was in pristine condition and marked as being fragile, there was minor damage to the inner box that did penetrate the cardboard. Fortunately, the glass items themselves were completely undamaged. Recommend inspecting any fragile items with the postal carrier present in the case that documentation is required.
