The molded ears that mate with the mount are at the same angle as the slots in the mount, so when you twist to lock it, the shade is no longer square. If you install the shade with the white dot at the 120° or 240° position you can turn the it only part way and carefully stop at the right orientation and it will stay there unless you bump it. The price is right, but the design is not. I may return it.
