The Holux GM-270U is a compact GPS receiver that can be used as an outdoor or handheld GPS. It has 12 parallel satellite-tracking acquisition that uses 1920 time-frequency search channels. The Holux GPS receiver has a support NMES0183 v2.2 data protocol and SiRF binary code. It has a low power consumption with Star II and LP chipset. The GPS receiver also features a built-in rechargeable battery for memory and RTC backup for fast Time to First Fix (TTFF). Other features of the Holux GM-270U include an L1 C/A code receiver, an update rate of 1 Hz, and a built-in active antenna. The enhanced algorithms of SnapLock and SnapStart provide superior navigation performance that works in environments in which there is normally poor signal, such as in canyons or dense foliage environments. The Holux GPS receiver has a built-in hardware tracking loop processor WAAS/EGNOS demodulator and a Trickle Power that is enabled for power-saving. The type 1 CF slot in the Holux GPS receiver can integrate with a person’s PDA or notebook, giving them the ability to navigate wirelessly and hands-free.
