Not to be confused with Telltale Games' comic-based episodic adventure series The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is based on the massively popular TV series and puts players in the role of Darryl Dixon as he and his brother Merle make their way to Atlanta during the early days of the zombie outbreak. Though it plays like a first-person shooter, Survival Instinct encourages gamers to avoid conflict or use stealth melee attacks whenever possible, because firing noisy guns attracts more walkers.<br><br>Darryl and Merle will come across a number of fellow survivors as they make their way through a variety of treacherous locations. Players can choose to help out those survivors, and even bring them along on the trip to Atlanta. But with resources like food, ammo, and medicine scarce, and not every survivor harboring good intentions, gamers must sometimes make extremely difficult decisions, including letting innocent people die.
