Shox is an arcade-style rally racing title featuring 24 licensed vehicles across three distinct locales: Arctic Tundra, Arid Desert, and Asian Jungle. Each area consists of seven tracks distinguished by the addition of Shox Zones. These sequences test a player's driving prowess by slowing down the action during key jumps or finishes. Players can either feel the thrill of a perfect landing or learn the pain associated with a race-ending collision. Up to six computer-controlled drivers are featured in each circuit.<br><br>Additional tracks and challenges are unlocked by accumulating points while racing. Points are earned by fast finishes, skilled cornering, catching air, and of course, winning races. Vehicles can be acquired through the Gambling mode, which lets players race for the pink slip of a rival competitor. Four players can compete simultaneously on a split-screen and relive their performances through instant replay. Featured car manufacturers include Ford, BMW, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Audi, Subaru, Lancia, and Citroen.
