Pre-loaded encryption software enables the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex to automatically and continuously back up your photos, movies, music, and documents, enhancing the performance of the drive. Data can be interchangeably stored and accessed from both Windows and Mac computers, using an NTFS driver without reformatting this 5400 rpm hard drive. This Seagate external HDD is compatible with the USB 2.0 interface, enabling the files in this 5400 rpm hard drive to be accessed from any computer. The Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex is easily upgradeable with a FireWire 800 interface, helping larger files to be transferred quickly. With a 16 MB cache memory, this Seagate external HDD lets you search stored records within seconds, increasing the processing speed.
