The small male electrical fitting is the positive and the wider maale spade is the negitive hookup , These flat connections are notorious for comming loose at the female ends as they have a tendency to vibsarate loose and do not hold a very firm grip on the male ends on the pump. my solution was to solder the wires connections directly to the pump to prevent these from comming loose later on.
