    The hardware has no strain relief on any of the cables; they are just wires soldered into holes on the boards, so they'll break off fairly quickly. The memory test doesn't work correctly on PAL (I think) compared to how it runs on NTSC (that might be the other way round, but for one of them it doesn't do as thorough a job as it does on the other).

    Dear Sir Each diagnostic tool is certified with our laboratory machines(PAL/NTSC). The "VIC20 diagnostics tool" item delivered is exactly as in the photo and is compatible for diagnostics on both PAL and NTSC. There is no difference in the control routine between PAL/NTSC: we therefore recommend a careful check of your PC. Furthermore, as shown in the photo, the connectors have a beveled PCB to facilitate insertion/removal. Can anyone think of removing the tool by pulling the wires??
