This keyboard is different 1st: connects thru Bluetooth, the keyboard is a separate entity. 2nd: It charges with a C port so it does not rely on the IPad, & 3rd: It has so many cool features. My favorite is the backlight you can change its colors. There are multiple colors to choose from. Great product the condition is new and it is worth every penny. Appearance is great.
