The appearance is perfect and unmarred/not scratched. I will anodize and use a copper based anti seize prior to installing to prevent galvanization type other corrosion from dissimilar metallic contact. Should work perfect.

But the crown race extender won't fit a standard tapered fork - the bottom chamfer was too short and uneven, so it wouldn't rest on the crown race. Seller disputed that this was a problem, but did offer a return. I don't see how this would fit any tapered fork. A normal crown race will expand and fit the fork taper, but this product obviously won't expand. So I returned rather than take it to a shop to have it properly beveled.Reply from: mtbtools- Feedback replied by seller mtbtools.- Feedback replied by seller mtbtools.Simply does not understand the physics of a press fit. Standard industry sizing, used successfully thousands of times. I attempted to discuss the fit problems with them and they refused to acknowledge the problem despite that it obviously doesn't fit from the photos. Unfortunately the seller has shown themself to be unprofessional in their responses, sending me a rude message to complain about my polite feedback.
