About this product

Product Information

The timeless question of "Why did the chicken cross the road?" can finally be answered by Atari VCS owners: to earn points. Freeway involves guiding a clueless chicken up and down ten horizontal expressways, trying to score as many points as possible within the time limit of two minutes and 16 seconds. Each time your chicken makes it safely to the other side, you'll receive one point. Cars and trucks move across the screen at varying speeds, similar to the coin-op game Frogger. Making contact with traffic will either knock your chicken back one lane or send your chicken back to the start, depending on the difficulty setting. Freeway was designer David Crane's fourth Atari VCS game for publisher Activision.
