Synopsis
A "gripping" memoir ( Rolling Stone ) of one man's descent into the depths of addiction and self-destruction--and his successful renewal of family ties that had become almost irreparably frayed. On the surface, Cameron Douglas had everything: descended from Hollywood royalty (son of Michael Douglas, grandson of Kirk Douglas), he was born into a life of wealth, privilege, and comfort. But by the age of thirty, he had become a drug addict, a thief, and--after a DEA drug bust--a convicted drug dealer sentenced to five years in prison, with another five years added while he was incarcerated. Through supreme willpower, a belief in himself, and a steely desire to alter his life's path, Douglas began to reverse his trajectory, to understand and deal with the psychological turmoil that tormented him for years, and to prepare for what would be a profoundly challenging but successful reentry into society at large., A "gripping" memoir ( Rolling Stone ) of one man's descent into the depths of addiction and self-destruction-and his successful renewal of family ties that had become almost irreparably frayed. It is exactly as pictured! I’m so happy and grateful to have this set in matching hardcover! Thank you seller! It just came today and it came early. It was packaged well and there are no damages at all and I immediately put it on my bookshelf! I always wanted to finish this series ever since high school and now I finally can! I have no idea why this particular set is hard to find and buy (especially to find the 1st few books that match the rest) so I am grateful to stumble across this listing.

Thank you for double wrapping the books! They arrived yesterday and when I saw that one of the corners was pushed out of the plastic my heart sank... BUT since they were also wrapped in the paper sack, there was zero damage to those corners. The books were in great condition, as described. Thank you!
