This item was sent in it's un-opened factory packaging. Sometime the quick fix is to replace the AAA battery with a new one. I have no way of knowing if there is a problem unless I open the orginal factory packaging and try the item. This then will give the appearance that the item is "used" not new,.Replace the battery! If changing the battery doesn't solve the problem, return the item to me for a relacement or refund. Your choice. Peace Brother!
