Notes
Kill-Me Kare Bare hails from Minneapolis Minnesota with pop flags unfurled behind a rousing trounce of candy and bounce. Formed in 2009 behind the sugar-coated tongue of Blake Stoppel and his trusty sidekick, keyboardist, and general handyman Chris Johnson; they stood on a move to trade in a few past experiences (Harp and Finial, Mark of the Underdogs) to join forces with an old hometown (Rochester, MN) musical team-mate Matt Hoppe (power skins) to form the core of KMKB. Later they would move on in rank to pick up much appreciated confectionary wind with the additions of Jared Denton Jones (guitar/vox) and Scott Hefte (bass/vox) which inevitably propelled their lemonade-lured, chocolate-cake sucker-punched sound to the Twin Cities stage. The boys bounce loudly on stage, all five canvassing the deck in red sneakers, with Blake softly bombasting his melodic prose from the top deck, riling the crew to charge. Down below Chris bounds the galley with manic loops of keyed anxiety while Matt slams it home, cannon torches in hand, with the trummeling of barely muffled heart beats. As if the cannon fodder weren't enough, Jared corrals the chorus in a litany of swirling guitar and Scott hammers the furls down in canonic greed with a stampede of stormy bass. After a few years hitting the local venues and generally making their bouncing fans drool cinnamon; they headed off to the famous Ealing Studios in London during the spring of 2011 to record their latest EP, "Just For Fun" (Record Release at Cause Soundbar, Minneapolis, June 24th) to follow up on two previously released EP's. Under the helm of EMI UK recording artists Gisli Kristjansson (previous work with Duffy, and on solo albums 'How about That' and 'Build Ups and Break Downs'), who now focused a large part of his time producing, they consecrated a mirage of mirth and capricious glam into their first single 'WE DO'; in which they sputter on youthfully, like birds in flight, about the need for a 'Wake up call...', one assumed to announce that pop, and good humor, are alive and well in modern music which should not be, by any means, shied away from. Kill-Me Kare Bare BLAKE STOPPEL- VOX, GUITAR CHRIS JOHNSON- KEYBOARDS SCOTT HEFTE-BASS,VOX JARED D. JONES- GUITAR,VOX MATT HOPPE-DRUM-KIT.
