My dad had this exact model for years and years, since 1978 exactly when the business opened. it was never used for stretching rings as that is the worst way to size a ring up. This tool is a great miniature bench side rolling mill For making sizing stock adjustments quickly. The new models sold by suppliers these days are potmetal garbage. I couldn't be more happy with this purchase.
