Seller Notes: “GOOD CONDITION: Pages are unmarked with no tears or creases. There is minor darkening to the edge ... “GOOD CONDITION: Pages are unmarked with no tears or creases. There is minor darkening to the edge of the margins and some occasional minor foxing (light brown oxidation stains from age), but mostly in the margins. The plates are still generally relatively white though there has been some minor darkening. There is some minor moisture damage to the colored end papers at the front. The binding is cracked at the front of the book between the frontispiece and the title page--though still holding onto the text block by the cloth used to bind it. This can easily be repaired (if one desires) but should be done by a skilled professional because of the rarity of the book. The gilt on the front is bright and shiny--especially the peacock decoration. The gilt on the spine has some light to moderate wear. The cloth on the spine is darkened--as with the top and outside edge of the front board. Other wear is noticeable in the photos. Please see photos to judge condition and feel free to ask questions”
