    Follow up: I was in the wrong; I missed the sold notification from eBay and the buyer's messages. As soon as I did see them I apologized, refunded the buyer in full and then sent them the item for free. After explaining that my store was supposed to be closed for vacation while I moved house and then sending the item, I believe the buyer was satisfied. :-)
