The edges of the sheath were not finished (they were not chamfered or sanded), but that is an easy fix with some sandpaper. I would definitely buy from him again, and I plan on doing just that soon.

This awl is good for lacing or for making holes in hides to string leather laces through while the smaller or finer awls I possess are good for making holes for sewing with sinew or thread. Seller sent free awl with black wooden handle when the same size awl wax not available in a wooden handle of a natural wood color. Awl actually came with a fine sheath.
