Seller Notes: “Very Good-Excellent overall vint cond: For sale is this very clean & well pres, early-mid 20th c ... “Very Good-Excellent overall vint cond: For sale is this very clean & well pres, early-mid 20th c Zuni tribal people SW US fully beaded miniature doll of a Zuni Native woman carrying an infant in a papoose on her back & at the same time, balancing a hnd dec cer pot on the top of her head. The figure's made of sm, rnd, opaque glass beads that are affixed to a soft, stuffed cloth body. The Zuni female figure's accurately portrayed w/clearly more than casual references to the very detailed clothing & characteristic of the Zuni women to balance their equally famous, hnd dec cer pots on their heads. Their brightly colored clothing, front apron & white & blk leather & fur boots are all incredibly & accurately realized, w/what amounts to be no less than masterful Native beadwork. The figure only stands 4 3/4" in overall height but is packed w/culturally accurate, significant, detailed information about the Zuni Native women it portrays. Honest, orig, auth & made by Native Zuni hands. Splendid.”
