It has to line up perfectly or you’ll crack it like I did. My second bit of advice to would be buyers: wasn’t sure if this would fix my issue. My LCD worked intermittently and continued to light up with no dead lines but no data. I read somewhere that this could only be fixed by changing some capacitors and other circuit board parts. Didn’t think it would work, but it fixed my issue. A1
