The dust jacket is in fair condition, with tears, tape, chips, and a few stains. The jacket is protected with a Mylar cover. The hardcover book has been hand signed and inscribed in blue ink on the front pink end page. The book is in good condition, free from rips, tears, bends, stains, and writing. The page edges have some dirt and light toning and a few pages are dog eared. There area few black and white illustrations in the book. The boards are in fair to good condition with light stains and tanning on the edges. There is minimal wear around the edges. The binding is strong and fairly square. This is a frank and witty account about capital life written by a Texas congressman's wife. This is a first edition book that has been hand signed by Lady Bird Johnson and a great collectible.
