Synopsis
This is not a study of von Richthofen's life or death, but of the men he shot down. It is an up-to-date reference book covering the 123 men von Richthofen is reputed to have brought down while amassing his score of 80 victories over Allied aircraft between September 1916 and April 1918. The backgrounds of the men he fought are documented, and the later lives of those who survived the encounter with the Red Baron are also fully reported.

The book arrived safely, quickly, and even wrapped in a nice mylar cover. I currently have a collection of around 300 other similar era books, and this book will fit perfectly so it was very nice to see they took the care to make sure I got it as expected. - a***u (990)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseItem as described. I wasn't expecting it to have a brodart cover but that was a plus. Very well packed. In fact, too well packed. Getting through all the packaging was like peeling an onion, layer after layer after layer, and a whole lot of excessive tape - you'd have thought the item was fine china and not a book. I am very happy to recommend this seller and would buy from again, despite the difficulty with removing all the packaging.THUNDER AT DAWN- A David Cochrane Smith WW1 RN novel, Evans, 1st US HBdj VG (#315627922088)
