- n***d (13)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseIt's a transformer. it runs cool. the wiring label is clear. it was cheaper than a El type. so far no issues. no ground for the 6.3V heater circuit, used a floating ground. it is a replacement for the undersized, overvolted transformer in a tube amp kit (it ran hot). this transformer outputs the correct heater voltage and spec'd for the the correct B+ voltage. after changing out resistors to get the voltages right, the tube amp sounds better
